Most mornings I read a little something from my Bible.  Some days I just skim the passage, probably with my mind on something else far less important but much more distracting.  Other days, I soak up every word, searching the notes in my study Bible and feeling refreshed by every drop of wisdom and truth.

And then there are days like today.  There are days when I’m clinging more than reading.  There are times when I providentially “stumble” across a verse that speaks to the urgent needs of my heart.  And while I am holding onto the beauty of the passage, God brings the right amount of trials into my life to make me tighten my grip even more.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13

That’s the verse I’ve read a dozen times today.  That’s the verse I’ve prayed over.  It’s the one I’ve begged for the grace to believe in and the strength to live out.  It was a gift from God today.

Dear Ones, I struggle to keep my heart right, but I don’t want to focus so much on that, that is becomes legalistic which can happen, to me its WHO we have Faith IN!!He to me uses struggles in this life, but I also believe we can bring stuff on ourselves by wrong choices. Jesus isn’t shocked at us, He knows we are “dust: and He is there when we repent to cheer us on again, as we get back up and run tafter knocked down, His Mercies and Grace are new every morning GREAT is His Faithfulness, getting to know His heart is wonderful that keeps us wanting to do right and serve Him, He has the Power to keep us on the Path, He knows our end and our beginning!!That isn’t a watered down Gospel, its a Person and His character!! Lord, keep me balanced in You, amen, Carolyn
