Even before we officially decided to homeschool our kids, I enjoyed playing “teacher” with them. It was so much fun to give them coloring pages and make up crafts to go with the nursery rhymes and stories we were reading.
As I’m getting ready to send my oldest son off to college this week, I’ve been getting a little sentimental about all those memories of him as a little guy. I don’t regret a single moment I spent teaching him letters, numbers, and the countless skills we practiced during those early toddler and preschool years. Oh, if I could go back to those days for just a few minutes! (*sniff, sniff*)
Still, I’ll admit that it also was exhausting to come up with new ways to color, and cut, and glue. It was hard to find activities for little ones that were both fun and educational. There really weren’t many options back then, at least not many that I knew about.
And for preschoolers and beyond, finding a good Bible curriculum was more than just hard; it was almost impossible. I never did find a Bible program for my little ones that was really what I was looking for. Thankfully, young mamas today have more options than I ever did, and just this week one of the best Bible-based preschool curriculums I’ve seen was released.
The Fruit of the Spirit Curriculum for Toddlers
It is divided into eighteen weeks of lesson plans designed to help you make God’s Word central in your child’s life. Using Galatians 5:22-23 as a guide, this curriculum walks your child through the fruit of the Spirit while introducing your kiddo to letters, numbers, colors, and more.
This ebook was created for teaching children ages two to three, but I think it could easily be used for older preschoolers, too, especially the Bible lessons and crafts. At the end of each lesson, Leigh Ann even gives additional ideas for your older children.
The Fruit of the Spirit Curriculum will provide you with:
- 18 weekly lesson plans
- Weekly Bible verses to memorize
- Bible Stories to illustrate each Fruit of the Spirit
- Music ideas
- Weekly learning themes
- Read aloud books
- Letter recognition crafts and activities
- 1-10 numbers recognition crafts and activities
- Science experiments
- Sensory suggestions
- Arts & Crafts for each Bible story
- Loads of printables
- And so much more!
As you can see, it really does have it all! You can spend your time learning and playing with your little “students” instead of brainstorming ways to glue construction paper.
And want to hear some great news? For this week only, you can save 25% off the regular price of $14.00 with the code LAUNCH25 at checkout. That means you can get weeks of Bible and preschool lessons for just $10.50! It’s a great deal, but the sale only lasts through Monday, August 25, so you’ll want to order it soon!
I only wish I could do this Fruit of the Spirit Curriculum with my kids, but I don’t think my teenagers would enjoy it quite as much as your toddler will! Use these young years wisely. They’ll be gone before you know it, and the time you spend teaching them the Bible and other educational skill will never be wasted!
