“If then you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God.”
(Colossians 3:1))
I got a lot done yesterday, but not nearly everything on my list. So what else is new? Today I’ll be attacking things again. I’m also meeting a friend for lunch, so my time may be limited. I’ll do what I can and remember that people come first. (I hope!)
Here’s what I have planned for the day in this edition of The Daily Plan-It:
My Morning To Do List-if all else fails, I at least need to get this done.
–Quiet Time
–Drink Water
–Dressed, Make-Up, Hair
–Make Bed
–Kitchen and Dishes
–Wipe Up Bathrooms
–Start Laundry
–Water Plants
–Early Meal Prep
My Daily To Do List-this will help my day go a whole lot smoother.
–Drink water
–Fast fifteen
–Weekly tasks
–Monthly tasks
–Finish laundry
–Quick clean-up
–Fix dinner
–Kitchen and dishes
–Prep for tomorrow
My Weekly To Do List
–I don’t think I’ll have time for much today, but if I can, I want to work on clipping my coupons and filing my coupons. We’ll see.
My Monthly To Do List
–I didn’t get to my bookshelf or desk yesterday, so I’ll attempt that again today. I also need to start on the clutter on my kitchen counters. Where does it all come from?!?
I’m not sure if I’ll accomplish much today, but I’m going to do whatever I can. What do you have planned for your day? Tell us about it in the comments!

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.”
(Colossians 2:6-7))
I’m back from vacation, and I’m ready to get to work. I’m still striving for that illusive peace around here, but I feel much more focused. I’m energized. I’m excited. I’m on the attack. Watch out, clutter, ’cause here I come.
Here’s what I have planned for the day in this edition of The Daily Plan-It:
My Morning To Do List-if all else fails, I at least need to get this done.
My Daily To Do List-this will help my day go a whole lot smoother.
My Weekly To Do List
–Today I want to clip my coupons, file my coupons, and start my grocery list. I’m so far behind with my coupons. Again. If I can find a moment to sit down (excuse me while I crack up laughing at that thought), I’ll try to do whatever clipping and sorting I can manage. I also need to empty the trash and recycling.
My Monthly To Do List
–This week, and probably the next, will be a little different when it comes to these tasks. Not only am I working to creating a more peaceful environment, but also I’m getting ready for a houseful of company in less than two weeks. Instead of focusing on one particular room, I’m going to be working my way (as quickly as possible) through my house, trashing and organizing. My focus today will be on the living room bookshelf and the desk. I’d like to sort through the kids’ clothes, too.
Are you ready? I know I am. Let’s get to it!

“By wisdom a house is built,
and by understanding it is established;
by knowledge the rooms are filled
with all precious and pleasant riches.”
(Proverbs 24:3-4 )

My Monthly To Do List
–This week I’m focusing on the Bathrooms. Today, I’m going to tidy up the vanity cabinets. This is a pretty quick job for me since I do it regularly. I’ll also try to clean the sink and the medicine cabinet if I have time. If not, those can wait for another day.
Are you ready for a new week? I know I am. Let’s get to it!

“Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.”
(Ephesians 5:1-2)
I didn’t get much done yesterday. I was only able to do the really important things: I taught school and I spent time with my husband. That was good enough.
But today I’m stressing out. Not a good thing. I need to teach school. Lots of school. I also need to run a couple of errands and go to an academic awards ceremony at my son’s high school this evening. Somehow, I also have to make the soup for dinner, bake bread, do laundry, clean up a little, pay some bills…..my head is beginning to spin.
Deep breath.
I’ll do one thing at a time. I’ll work as quickly as I can. I won’t worry about the things that don’t make it onto the Done-It List. I’ll smile whenever possible (even if I have to force myself!). I’ll pray. Often.
Here I go……
Here’s what I have planned for the day in this edition of The Daily Plan-It:
My Morning To Do List-if all else fails, I at least need to get this done. As a matter of fact, this may be all I get done!
–Quiet Time
–Drink Water
–Dressed, Make-Up, Hair
–Make Bed
–Kitchen and Dishes
–Wipe Up Bathrooms
–Start Laundry
–Water Plants
–Early Meal Prep
My Daily To Do List-this will help my day go a whole lot smoother. I’m not sure I’ll get too many of these things accomplished, but it’s good to have this list as a reminder.
–Drink water
–Fast fifteen
–Weekly tasks
–Monthly tasks
–Finish laundry
–Quick clean-up
–Fix dinner
–Kitchen and dishes
–Prep for tomorrow
My Weekly To Do List
–I would love to vacuum and dust today. We’ll see if I have the time (and energy!) for these tasks.
My Monthly To Do List
–I might not be able to squeeze anything else into the day, but if I’m able, I think I’ll gather up the newspapers that are piling up (and multiplying).
Are you ready? I hope I am. Have a great day!

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise,
making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.
(Ephesians 5:15-16)
My husband is off work today….and we need to do some schoolwork if we’re ever going to finish this school year….and the house is a mess from a busy weekend….and there’s a never ending list of things to get done….do I need to go on?
Seriously, there’s so much I’d like to get done today, but I need to be wise with my time. People first. That needs to be my mantra. I’ll do what I can to get this place put back in order and back on track, but what doesn’t get done today will still be waiting for me tomorrow. People first. People first. People first. (Easier said than done!)
Here’s what I have planned for the day in this edition of The Daily Plan-It:
My Morning To Do List-if all else fails, I at least need to get this done. This list will really help get things whipped back into shape.
–Quiet Time
–Drink Water
–Dressed, Make-Up, Hair
–Make Bed
–Kitchen and Dishes
–Wipe Up Bathrooms
–Start Laundry
–Water Plants
–Early Meal Prep
My Daily To Do List-this will help my day go a whole lot smoother. I’m not sure if I’ll do much from this list, but it’s nice to have it handy if I find a few spare minutes lying around.
–Drink water
–Fast fifteen
–Weekly tasks
–Monthly tasks
–Finish laundry
–Quick clean-up
–Fix dinner
–Kitchen and dishes
–Prep for tomorrow
My Weekly To Do List
–Today I want to clip my coupons, file my coupons, start my grocery list, and empty the trash and recycling. It looks like a lot, but these things are either simple or enjoyable. And if I don’t get to them, our lives will still go on.
My Monthly To Do List
–Nothing for today. Just general pick-up and put-back. I think it’s going to be that kind of day.
Are you ready for a new week? I want my home to be a place of peace….a place where God is glorified (even if the laundry isn’t folded!). That’s my goal. What’s yours?
May 4th, 2011

“Search me, O God, and know my heart!
Try me and know my thoughts!
And see if there be any grievous way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting!”
(Psalm 139:23-24)
I had one of those days yesterday. Not good. It was not a day I’m particularly proud of.
Today, I’m going to stick to basics. Since I know I’ve been struggling a bit with feeling overwhelmed, I don’t want to load up my day with things I might not have the energy (or attitude) to do.
Homeschooling, general clean-up, laundry, meals. Those things will be my main focus. I’d like to finish the weekly cleaning jobs I didn’t finish yesterday, catch-up on some paperwork that needs done, and do a little organizing, but I’ll only get to those things if I think I can do them without losing my mind.
Here’s what I have planned for the day in this edition of The Daily Plan-It:
My Morning To Do List-if all else fails, I at least need to get this done.
–Quiet Time
–Drink Water
–Dressed, Make-Up, Hair
–Make Bed
–Kitchen and Dishes
–Wipe Up Bathrooms
–Start Laundry
–Water Plants
–Early Meal Prep
My Daily To Do List-this will help my day go a whole lot smoother. I’ll do as many of these things as I can, but I’m not going to worry about what I can’t get to.
–Drink water
–Fast fifteen
–Weekly tasks
–Monthly tasks
–Finish laundry
–Quick clean-up
–Fix dinner
–Kitchen and dishes
–Prep for tomorrow
My Weekly To Do List
–I still need to clean the bathrooms, wipe down the mirrors, and mop the floors….if possible.
My Monthly To Do List
–I’d like to straighten the laundry room shelves and clear out any clutter hanging around (like the “stuff” that piles up on top of the dryer). If I don’t get this done, I know the task will still be waiting for me tomorrow. No pressure.
I’m smiling right now, and I’d like to keep it that way! I’ll put on some music, do one thing at a time, and try to keep my focus where it should be…on the cross of Christ.
