I spent years worrying about my unbelieving husband. I thought his entire future (and mine, too) depended on my ability to win him over to Christ. I preached, and argued, and manipulated.
Then I chose to simply love him.
God will use your love for your husband to show him the gospel. Your “gentle and quiet spirit” may be the very thing that softens your husband’s heart to the truth of the cross. And in the end, your husband’s future (and yours, too) is in God’s hands.
God doesn’t want you to be fearful, and He doesn’t expect you to say just the right thing that will win your man over to ‘God’s team.’ He wants you gently and respectfully to love your husband, and then trust Him with your husband’s heart.”
Being married to a non-Christian man has its share of challenges, but that doesn’t mean it should diminish your love for him. For more thoughts on this, click over to Intentional By Grace where I’m sharing 9 Ways to Love Your UnBelieving Husband.
