I've warned you about the mortal danger a plant faces when it enters through the door of my house. But I also told you that I was trying to reform my plant-killing ways. I even added "Water Plants" to my Morning To Do List. That's progress.
And I started watering them regularly. Really, I did. I think.
Yet, alas, some plants just hold grudges. Some vines simply can't forgive years of neglect and dry, compacted soil. Some leaves refuse to bury the hatchet, so to speak.
So, this plant has left the building. It's gone. It's stalks sat empty in the corner for a few days, but I just couldn't bear to see the leafless twigs any longer.
Good-bye, Plant. I'll miss you. I hope you enjoy that compost pile in the sky (aka. the city's yard waste collection site). Maybe one day I'll try to find another houseplant that can fill your flowerpot...well, as soon as my husband stops laughing, that is.
