The most dreaded job on anyone's cleaning list: the bathroom. We all hate to do it, but it needs to be done. To make the job easier, I do it every day. I know what you must be thinking. Doing it every day doesn't seem to equal easier. But, hear me out. This is my quick routine:
- Use a bathroom cleaning wipe (or spray bottle of cleaning solution with a wad of toilet paper) to quickly wipe down the toilet and the floor around the base.
- Wash and dry my hands.
- Use the damp towel (that I just dried my hands with) to wipe up the sink and shine the faucet.
- Give the mirror a quick swipe with the damp towel. It's usually just damp enough to clean it without leaving streaks.
- Hang up a clean towel.
There you have it. It takes about one to two minutes each day. I wipe up our two downstairs bathrooms, and the kids take care of their bathroom upstairs. About once a week I try to clean the tub/shower, disinfect the fixtures, and clean the floor. It is so nice to walk into a clean bathroom every day. And if company drops by, I don't have to worry about what embarrassing state the bathrooms are in. Which is a relief, since I'm probably already worried about the embarrassing condition of the rest of the house!
